Healthy Lawns & Shrubs Inc. has proudly served Little Rock, AR, since 1978, providing professional lawn care and landscaping services for residential and commercial properties. Founded by Stan McDaniel after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Turf Management from the University of Arkansas, our company has built a reputation for exceptional service, quality workmanship, and long-term customer relationships.

Our Story
Our founder and president, Stan McDaniel, has more than 50 years of landscaping experience. His passion for professional grounds management began in 1971, when he started mowing lawns and caring for landscapes while still in high school.
Stan learned the industry from his father,
M.C. McDaniel, a respected plant pathologist with the University of Arkansas, who instilled the importance of proper lawn care, plant health, and sustainable landscape practices. Through hard work and dedication, Stan grew the company from a one-person operation into a successful business employing more than 50 team members at its peak.

During the mid-1980s, Healthy Lawns & Shrubs invested in a tub grinder to recycle lawn clippings, leaves, and landscape debris collected from customer properties. Instead of sending organic waste to landfills, we transform it into nutrient-rich compost that is blended with topsoil or reused in our landscaping projects.
This sustainable approach allows us to reduce waste while promoting healthier landscapes throughout our community.

One-time lawn mowing or pruning services are billed at $55–$60 per man hour, plus a minimum $85 trip and debris removal fee.
